What we know today as the church, began as a movement within Judaism. Much of the earliest proclamation of the Gospel took place in the synagogues of the day. These early believers did not attend church's as we presently understand them, they met mostly in homes led by "lay" leaders who were filled with the Spirit of God and a passion to walk the "Way of the Lord". As the first church buildings started to appear around the early 2nd century the "church" started to become organized but also sadly, man-centered. Non Biblical traditions and even heresy became more and more prevalent.

As a result, much of the zeal and authority of the original church has slowly diminished. Come To Zion Home Groups are in a sense, a return to those humble beginnings. Our desire is to help believers grow in their faith and learn to walk the ancient paths of the Messiah. We believe that getting together to pray and share with other believers in a small intimate group, as our early church forefathers did, is something people are hungry for and need.
